A Strand of Words for Greetings

Assalamualaikum... (peace be upon you)

I'm just starting my blog today and this is my first post. By the way, I need to tell you something before going to the main content. Firstly for all readers, I need to remind myself and all readers to always remember God when we do something. Regardless of what our religion is, whether Muslims or non-Muslims, every religion still holds one same purpose, that is to teach us to goodness.

So whatever we do, take a moment to think again whether we are doing good things or not. And also, think again what is your intention for doing that, because our every action is judged from a 'niyyah' (نية) which means intention or willingness. Narrated on the authority of Amirul Mu'minin, Abu Hafs 'Umar bin al-Khattab, radiyallahu 'anhu, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam (peace be upon him), say:
"Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated."
[Al-Bukhari & Muslim]
Our actions are undermined by our intentions - whether they are good intentions or bad intentions. Therefore we should always check our intentions before we do or say anything. When the action is for the sake of Allah, it is for Allah we do; but when it is only for the sake of worldly gain (something that is not related to religious purpose), it is only the worldly affair we get, but nothing for afterlife. We must make sure that the action is for the sake of Allah so that it is accepted by Him and that we will be rewarded for it, insha Allah (if Allah wills).

That's all for my short advice and greetings for now. I couldn't make a longer post for this incoming few days as there are some errands I need to handle. Anyway please have a good days in a good way!

Hope this would be beneficial to you.

Wassalaamu alaikum ^_^
